Studio V Photography Toronto glamour photographer: Photo of the beautiful Jessi Carr. I had the pleasure of meeting her and working with her this past summer working on a video project for VX2TV and VX2 Magazine. It was a lot of fun to work with her. It hard to find a model who can pull off a look with a lot of attitude and still be totally sexy. We got some great shots. Stay tuned for more.

Studio V Photography Toronto Glamour Photographer. Hey guys so here are two vlogs from my YouTube channel where I give a few opinions my my experience shooting with the Sony A7 III plus the Metabones adapter with the Canon EF 16-35mm f2.8 L and the EF 24-70mm f2.8 L.

I'm really enjoying the Sony A7III so far but the more I use it the more I find little things that bother me about the the camera. First and probably the biggest issue I have with the SOny camera is the colour science. The colours just seem to be off. The skin tones of models is just off. And the camera's ability to adjust the colour temperature accurately when in AWB mode and moving between sunlight and shade seems to be really strange. You can see in the first video when I shoot Jisel Lynn in the shade and then in full sun her skin tone changes. I also test video in the first video. I'm not a videographer but from what I've been able to figure out the auto focus does not work well at all with the adapted lenses. Auto focus also seems to have issues from time to time when shooting stills but that problem can quickly be fixed by switching the camera on and off. However, if you are planning on shooting live events with adapted lenses it might not be the best especially if you are shooting an event like a wedding when you CAN'T MISS shots like the first kiss.

This is just a basic review of my experience so far. I'll be making a video with a full review soon.

Studio V Photography

Studio V Photography. Bikini editorial shot for Diablo Swimwear last summer at Wasega Beach. Love the way this shot came out. The model had to open her blue eyes up to the sun which was directly behind me. It wasn't easy that's for sure but this shot was so worth the effort. That half second she could keep her eyes open and BOOOM! ART! Really love this shot.

Rachelle Wilde

Studio V Photography. The stunningly beautiful Rachelle Wilde shot in a hot leopard one piece swimsuit. This was one of my favourite shoots  ever. We were shooting in the Dominican Republic. I have a behind the scenes video from this shoot that i'll post up on my YouTube channel at some point for now you have these pictures to enjoy.

Editing Photos of Asha for Magazine Submission

Studio V Photography Toronto Glamour Photographer
Last summer I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Asha Urielle. If you guys were following my SnapChat at the time you'd remember the story for sure. It was a fun day of shooting and I think I got a little punch-drunk off the sun. We shot at a beach just outside of Toronto. The day started off nice and foggy which opened up some creative possibilities that had me pretty excited. But it wasn't long before the sun came out and I had to rethink my game plan. The angle of the sun plays such a huge role in determining how and where you're going to pose the model. Overall it was a great experience. Good times all around for everyone involved. The images will be featured in an upcoming issue of VX2 Magazine. So stay tuned for that. Watch the vlogs below and give them a thumbs up. It really helps to get those thumbs on those videos. Thanks.

Sarah Scotford Published in VX2 Magazine

Studio V Photography / I shot these beautiful shots of Sarah Scotford back in 2010. But back then I was editing my photos in a super high contrast vibrant edgy style. That style was cool back in 2010 but now it's 2016 and that edgy look is no longer in vogue. So a few months ago I showed the original edits to the editor of VX2 Magazine and he loved them. But when I sent him the images he told me they were only 72dpi. Needless to say the images were too small for print. At first I was a little miffed because I loved this set but soon spun things around realizing that this was just a great opportunity to re-edit these shots in a more contemporary style. And so I did and I love this set even more now and they look amazing printed in the magazine. I'm so happy with the way these came out.

If you want to book a submission shoot contact your favorite Toronto glamour photographer and book a session. I'm always game for getting more work published. :)

Bella Ricchi In Nine5Four Canada Magazine

Studio V photography. Wooohooo exciting news. My photos of Bella Ricchi are published in Nine5Four Canada Magazine. whaaaaaat!!! Sweet! Ya I'm pretty excited. Bella is a Toronto area Hip-Hop and RnB artist. She was so much fun to work with. Lots of laugh and positivity all around. She's got a killer body and lots of attitude. On a personal level I think it's so awesome to support local talent. I feel like we've really got to support our own and put Toronto on the global map. Enjoy the pictures.

Natural Light Portrait of Sarah Scotford

I found this quote got me in the right spot today. "Our brains are wired to find things we’re looking for – if you’re always cynical or waiting for things to go wrong, then your life will reflect that. On the other hand, having a positive outlook on life will bring you joy and provide you with inspiration when you least expect it"

Studio V Photography. I shot this several months ago with the gorgeous Sarah Scotford. She's easily in my top 10 favourite models of all time, ever, in the whole universe. lol. She's such an awesome person and I owe so much to her. She kinda, maybe, sorta' helped me launch my photography brand back in the day. But that's a story for another blog. For this shot Sarah and I were experimenting with natural window light portraits. I've been a studio strobe guy for years but over the past eighteen months or so I've been shifting gears and experimenting with natural light photos. Shooting with natural light has opened up so many more creative possibilities. I'm super stoked to get more experience shooting with just natural light. Having a hot friend that you can call in for a shoot when you get the itch to experiment with lighting is definitely a bonus. I'm really happy with how my natural light stuff is progressing. Cheers to beating that learning curve.

On another note I'm excited to announce that the Bank Robber photo set with Sarah has been picked up by VX2 Magazine and will be published sometime in the next few months. And for those of you who have seen all the photos in the Bank Robber set don't worry, I pulled out the archives and edited a bunch of new photos. Plus all the images have been re-edited in a more modern editing style to make the photos artistically and creatively relevant again. I'm super excited to see them in print.

Oh and May the 4th be with you!!!!! hahaha. ;P
