Vasko Obscura: OMG I made it to 100 Vlogs that's pretty crazy thinking back on things now. I'm really proud of that fact that I've stuck to it for 100 vlogs. I'm not going to lie there were times when I questioned if this was the best use of my time, but I really enjoyed the process and the learning that came with making YouTube videos. I'm also really greatful to those of you who have commented and sent me emails to let me know that you have found value in the content I share. Thank you. Cheers to another 100 vlogs. In this vlog I give a quick update on the 5 big things happening in my photography world right now. I pre-ordered the Canon EOS R, I changed my name across all social media, I'm using Google more effectively for business and then I tease a little about an upcoming project called VX2TV and a trip to the Dominican Republic with a bunch of models to shoot content for VX2TV. Thanks for watching. I truly appreciate all the growing support from the YouTube community :)
Vasko Obscura: Here we go guys and gals Studio V Photography is now on Patreon. Being a creative isn’t always easy. Most of us creatives don’t have a 9-to-5 so we have to hustle all the time to create a steady income. Patreon is great because it connects us to another revenue stream provided by those of you who appreciate us the most. Our fans.
I’m totally new to Patreon but I can see the potential not only for myself but also as a platform through which I can give back to those of you who appreciate what I do the most. I’m working on some reward ideas for different pledge levels. From free printed T-Shirts and mugs to live streams of hot photos shoots to online tutorials to maybe even letting someone come see a sexy photo shoot happening in person. I’ve got a bunch of idea. I figure my fans fall into two big groups. Those who love photos of beautiful woman and those who want to learn how to shoot photos of beautiful woman. So i’ll try to be mindful of those two perspectives.
Thanks for reading and if you want to help me out though Patreon click on the link or image below.
Studio V Photography. Squarespace is limiting me on the size of the file I can upload. So I've uploaded image below in the larges file size they'll let me upload them at. Just a note because someone thought that the lens had issues because of the chromatic aberration in the shots. That effect was added on purpose and these images are photoshoped. I wanted to give you guys some shots of edited images so you can see what is possible. As I Said in the vlog the Canon lens on the Sony A7III is awesome sharp. Much sharper than than the same lens on my 5DmkIII. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message back in the comments on YouTube and i'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Back to the YouTube Video. Keep in mind there is an age restriction on the video so I don't know if everybody can see it or if you need a YouTube account to see the video.
Studio V Photography, Toronto glamour Photographer. Hey guys here is a sexy teaser. You're welcome! Get ready this is just a one shot teaser from a shoot I did with the beautiful Jisel Lynn. She's a stunning half Puerto Rican half Indian model. She's kinda the best of both worlds and so much fun to shoot. I met her last year while shooting in Miami and now our paths crossed again up here in Canada. Go figure. The photo set looks really hot and it's going to be featured in an upcoming issue of VX2 Magazine. Stay tuned for that announcement. I can't wait to get these shots out there. I'm sure fans of her work and my work are going to love them.
There is a behind the scenes story saved on my Instagram. Follow me there to check it out. @Studiov14
Studio V Photography. Bikini editorial shot for Diablo Swimwear last summer at Wasega Beach. Love the way this shot came out. The model had to open her blue eyes up to the sun which was directly behind me. It wasn't easy that's for sure but this shot was so worth the effort. That half second she could keep her eyes open and BOOOM! ART! Really love this shot.

Studio V Photography. I'm excited to announce that I got the cover of the current issue of VX2 Magazine. I had the pleasure of working with the beautiful Dani Galli last summer. We shot a beautiful set just before sunset. The light was nice and defused. It was a perfect afternoon for a shoot. I'm very happy with the shots and so was the magazine. They were so happy in fact they put the a picture on the cover. I'm really happy with these shots.
If you want to buy a copy of this issue check out the link below.
Studio V Photography. The newest Issue of VX2 Magazine is now available for sale. I have no clue what i'm doing. I've never used InDesign before but with some help from people that know a lot more than me, I put together my first Issue of VX2 Magazine. I've got to admit I'm pretty excited. It's pretty cool to sit back and see it now that it's finished. There are still a lot of things I'd love to do to polish up the magazine layout but It's all going to happen in time as I learn how to use InDesign to create what I can imagine. As I learn more expect this magazine to keep getting better and better.
If you want to buy a print or pdf version of this magazine you can via MagCloud. Or you can check out our Instagram @vx2magazine

Here is a mini series with Toronto model Erin English. I love the expression and mood in her eyes in the center shot.
Studio V Photography. The stunningly beautiful Rachelle Wilde shot in a hot leopard one piece swimsuit. This was one of my favourite shoots ever. We were shooting in the Dominican Republic. The locations on the resort weren't doing it for us so we snuck off into the jungle just before sunset to get these beauties. I have a behind the scenes video from this shoot that i'll post up on my YouTube channel at some point for now you have these pictures to enjoy.
Studio V Photography. Sunset shoot in the Dominican Republic. It took some time to figure out this exposure with the sun giving off so much light behind the model. But it was worth the 15 minutes of messing around with settings to get these shots.
Studio V Photography. OK here is a vlog for all you gear heads. Come along with me as I pack my camera gear for a beach shoot. I'm about to head out to Sand Banks Provincial Park to shoot some models for potential magazine features. In this vlog I talk about what equipment I bring with me on this shoot and why I bring it. I cover everything from model releases and lenses to sunscreen and scrims.
Studio V Photography. Here's a little teaser video form a shoot I did with Toronto Hip-Hop artist Bella Ricchi. For those of you who follow my vlog or blog you might remember her form a shoot I did a little white back where we shoot a pictorial for Nin5Four Canada Magazine. That was a fun set. So we got together again and shoot some social media content to pump out there over the next few months. I have a full vlog from the shoot coming soon but for now here is a little time laps teaser video of us doing out thing.
Enjoy, and please subscribe. I'm trying to build up my channel.

It's funny how life takes you off course sometimes. I'm a strong believer in learning lessons in life and I've learned a lot of lessons over the past few years. It's been hectic on all levels. On one side of the coin yes my business has suffered but on the flip side all the things I've gone through have made me a stronger wiser person. I look back at who I was in 2013 and who I am now and I can clearly see how much I've grown and for that i'm grateful. Now I'm back on track and refocused on developing my personal and professional life in a positive direction. With that being said it's time to take two business development ideas I let fall by the wayside in 2013 and bring them back to the forefront again.
1.) One was a coffee table photo book. I was in the process of designing and branding a series of coffee table photo books. The idea was to create pictorial story books. 10 to 20 page photo stories. With 5 to 8 stories per book. It's always cool to see one great photo but it really takes a lot of thought to put together a cohesive story though a series of photos. That's what I was going to challenge myself to do with some of the hottest woman in Toronto.
2.) The other idea I want to bring back to the table is a T-Shirt line. Just simple T's with either a logo or photo printed on them. Something to sell through an online store to accompany the photo books. Below I have 2 prototype shirts I printed back in 2013 to see how they would look and feel. Then life happened and I got distracted and never took the project farther. But you know, maybe it's for the best. Now that I look at these shirt designs I realize that they are far to simple and kinda awful. Got fresh eyes and new ideas on it now. It's going to be awesome.
I have most of the ground work already layed out for these projects so now it's just a matter of revisiting the ideas and bringing them inline with my 2016 business plan. On a personal level these are ideas I was so excited about in 2013 and it's going to feel so incredible to finally bring them to fruition in 2016. So stay tuned. Online store coming this summer. It's gonna be awesome.
Studio V Photography and Jessica Ashly featured in VX2 Magazine. How exciting is this? I love getting work published. Here are the magazine shots of the Jessica Ashly photo set. There are more pictures in the series which are not in this post because I didn't shoot the magazine pages but i'll put them up in another blog post soon. This set was from the first shoot I did with Jessica. I had seen her images in other photographer's online portfolios and wanted to shoot her but for whatever reason we were never able to figure out a date that worked for us. So one day she messaged me when she was free and we totally did a spur of the moment shoot. No planning, no fuss, no problem. We shot a few lingerie sets. against a textured red wall I had at the studio at the time and then we shot some beautiful artistic nudes of Jessica rolling around on a mirror. Those came out really awesome. DOUBLE THE JESSICA!!!! hahaha. As you can probably tell her body is all about stunning natural curves. Those pictures to this day still have not been seen publicly. Now that I think about it, I should go revisit those shots and see if I can get them published. Finally we shot this set. Originally this was intended to be a high contrast, ring light, edgy, black and white set but the edgy look has fallen out of vogue in the glamor scene. Even the lighting style in these shots are dated. Everything has changed since I shot these pictures. But in any case Jessica is a character and we had a great time shooting together and have shot together a few time since this first shoot. Keeping my fingers crossed, hopefully there will be some more Jessica Ashly tearsheets coming.
And for those of you who who have found this post through watching my vlogs. Welcome. Glad you found the webpage.
