Jessi Carr

Studio V Photography Toronto glamour photographer: Photo of the beautiful Jessi Carr. I had the pleasure of meeting her and working with her this past summer working on a video project for VX2TV and VX2 Magazine. It was a lot of fun to work with her. It hard to find a model who can pull off a look with a lot of attitude and still be totally sexy. We got some great shots. Stay tuned for more.

Karlie Vanessa Sal YouTube Edits

Vasko Obscura: Say hello to Karlie Vanessa Sal. She's a sexy Latina model with a strong attitude. Always so much fun to work with. Here are the photos from the YouTube video I posted. My initial creative direction when starting to work on these photos was to make them overexposed with a lot of chromatic aberration. My intention was to take the visual direction towards an over exposed disposable camera look. I've attached one image down below so you can see what I'm talking about. Initially I was happy with the overexposed/washed out look but being the type of person who is always experimenting I asked myself what the pictures would look like with a multiply layer over top. And BOOM I got this darker grittier looking image with deeper richer tones and a strange unique color tone. I loved the look so I applied the changes to all four images. If you have any questions post them on my YouTube videos in the comments and i'll get back to you.

YouTube Videos

The above video is an Instagram story from a photo shoot I did with VX2 Magazine cover model Karli Vanessa Sal earlier this summer. This is just some behind the scenes fun with a super awesome woman. I truly enjoy working with her. As you can see I take photography seriously but I keep my photo shoots lighthearted and fun. If you ask me photo shoots should be about having fun and expressing yourself and not about having a camera stuck in your face.

Here is a timelapse photo edit of a photo I shot with Karli Vanessa Sal earlier in the summer. In this video I talk about a few aspects of the photo edit process. I also drop a teaser about my trip to the Dominican Republic with a bunch of hot glamour models. I intend to bring all my YouTube subscribers with me through a daily vlog of the trip hopefully I don't get distracted. I'm so excited to get down there and shoot a bunch of sexy content.

Studio V Photography Toronto Glamour Photographer. Hey guys so here are two vlogs from my YouTube channel where I give a few opinions my my experience shooting with the Sony A7 III plus the Metabones adapter with the Canon EF 16-35mm f2.8 L and the EF 24-70mm f2.8 L.

I'm really enjoying the Sony A7III so far but the more I use it the more I find little things that bother me about the the camera. First and probably the biggest issue I have with the SOny camera is the colour science. The colours just seem to be off. The skin tones of models is just off. And the camera's ability to adjust the colour temperature accurately when in AWB mode and moving between sunlight and shade seems to be really strange. You can see in the first video when I shoot Jisel Lynn in the shade and then in full sun her skin tone changes. I also test video in the first video. I'm not a videographer but from what I've been able to figure out the auto focus does not work well at all with the adapted lenses. Auto focus also seems to have issues from time to time when shooting stills but that problem can quickly be fixed by switching the camera on and off. However, if you are planning on shooting live events with adapted lenses it might not be the best especially if you are shooting an event like a wedding when you CAN'T MISS shots like the first kiss.

This is just a basic review of my experience so far. I'll be making a video with a full review soon.

Jisel Lynn & Kyla Belle Sample Images

Studio V Photography. Squarespace is limiting me on the size of the file I can upload.  So I've uploaded image below in the larges file size they'll let me upload them at. Just a note because someone thought that the lens had issues because of the chromatic aberration in the shots. That effect was added on purpose and these images are photoshoped. I wanted to give you guys some shots of edited images so you can see what is possible. As I Said in the vlog the Canon lens on the Sony A7III is awesome sharp. Much sharper than than the same lens on my 5DmkIII. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message back in the comments on YouTube and i'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Back to the YouTube Video. Keep in mind there is an age restriction on the video so I don't know if everybody can see it or if you need a YouTube account to see the video.

Sony A7III with Canon Lenses Photo Review

Studio V Photography. Hey guys exciting news. I did my first photo shoot slash lens test with the Sony A7III with my Canon lenses. I'm using the Metabones 5th generation adapter with the Sony A7III. Just thought I'd put that out there as I'm sure a lot of you will be asking me about that. The YouTube videos where I explore Canon lenses on a Sony camera are linked below.

My first impressions are very positive. The images out of the Sony A7III are very sharp and clean right out of camera. It doesn't hurt either that my model, Bella Ricchi, is stunning. I think she makes the photos look better. lol. On a more serious note the only problem I've noticed with the camera lens combination so far is an inability to focus at times. Every now an then the focus would stop working completely and I would have to switch the camera on and off. After that restart the camera lens combo would work normally again. Another thing to note is that the focus with Canon lenses on the Sony A7III is a touch slower than Canon lenses on a Canon camera and that is totally understandable.

Thanks for reading, this is all for now. I'll make more videos and vlog posts as I learn more about the camera.

Laura Christine Clark

Studio V Photography, Toronto Glamour Photographer. New photo series with the stunning Laura Christine Clark. Every time I get the chance to work with this beautiful Playboy model it's always a good time. I don't know why we end up laughing so much. It's a wonder we actually get any shooting done. Seriously. She's always so much fun. We got these shots in an alleyway in the summer time. the boys playing ball hockey behind their garage on summer break sure got some good stories to tell when they go back to school. hahahahaha. Always a good time with Laura.

Tanisha Amber shot for VX2 Magazine

Here is a a photo of stunning Canadian model Tanisha Amber shot by Studio V Photography and published on the pages of VX2 Magazine. This shoot was the first time I met Tanisha and wow did she leave an impression. She's got so much character she should be on video not in pictures. We were kinda rushed so I didn't shoot her for as long as I would have liked. But keeping my fingers crossed she might be flying with VX2 Magazine down to Cuba for a week of shooting in the sun. So if all goes well I'll be working with her again really soon.

A Fun Day at The Studio

Who says photo shoots have to be serious. I much prefer having fun and letting the creativity flow when I'm shooing. So Ashley Marie was coming up to Toronto and booked a shoot with your truly. Yup when that Studio V Photography inbox dinged with an email from Ashley I was totally excited. I had worked with her back in 2010 in the Dominican Republic and we had a blast so the idea of working with her again really got me excited. Blow is a link to the Vlog from our shoot. Makeup by Monica Kalra

Enjoy.

Karliecakes Loves Tacos

Studio V Photography. So I was at the studio editing photos doing my thing when I get a text from Karlie Vanessa Sal. Apparently, driven by a desire for Grand Electric Tacos, she drove to my studio instead of where she was supposed to go. hahaha. oops. So we might as well make the best of it and go get some Grand Electric Tacos!!!!!!!! By the way if you didn't already know the Grand Electric Taco might just be the best in Toronto. The fish taco for me is the best there is. If you're in the Queen West area go give them a try. You might have to wait in line but it's worth it.

Enjoy.

Editing Photos of Asha for Magazine Submission

Studio V Photography Toronto Glamour Photographer
Last summer I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Asha Urielle. If you guys were following my SnapChat at the time you'd remember the story for sure. It was a fun day of shooting and I think I got a little punch-drunk off the sun. We shot at a beach just outside of Toronto. The day started off nice and foggy which opened up some creative possibilities that had me pretty excited. But it wasn't long before the sun came out and I had to rethink my game plan. The angle of the sun plays such a huge role in determining how and where you're going to pose the model. Overall it was a great experience. Good times all around for everyone involved. The images will be featured in an upcoming issue of VX2 Magazine. So stay tuned for that. Watch the vlogs below and give them a thumbs up. It really helps to get those thumbs on those videos. Thanks.

Journey

Studio V Photography. I recently had the pleasure of working with Journey. Apparently she is a rear white skinned Native American. Not sure if she was pulling my leg or not because I've never heard of that before but still pretty cool if it's true.

This was one of the hottest shoots I've ever done, literally. We wanted to shoot a set in the sauna at a downtown lounge in Toronto. Only thing was there were patrons of the club using the sauna so we had to bite the bullet and shoot in the heat. Needless to say it was a challenge. Sweat dripping into my eyes. The model's face perspiring. It not something I would do on the regular but we got the shots we wanted.

Bella Ricchi In Nine5Four Canada Magazine

Studio V photography. Wooohooo exciting news. My photos of Bella Ricchi are published in Nine5Four Canada Magazine. whaaaaaat!!! Sweet! Ya I'm pretty excited. Bella is a Toronto area Hip-Hop and RnB artist. She was so much fun to work with. Lots of laugh and positivity all around. She's got a killer body and lots of attitude. On a personal level I think it's so awesome to support local talent. I feel like we've really got to support our own and put Toronto on the global map. Enjoy the pictures.

Check Bella out on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bella_ricchi

Karlie Vanessa Sal

Studio V Photography. Last summer I had the pleasure of meeting and working with the lovely Karlie Vanessa Sal. I was on assignment for Nine5Four Magazine. They wanted pictures of Karlie on a yacht. I didn't know what to expect shooting Karlie for the first time. I think that's one of the most exciting aspects about my job. That unknown with regards to personality and developing that connection with someone on the fly. Needless to say we clicked almost as soon as I pointed the camera at her and we got some fantastic shots. There was a good click between us and we got some awesome shots. Nothing like spending a hot summer day by the lake. If only summer lasted longer. To see the published photos form this shoot click here

Karli Sal in VX2 Magazine

Studio V Photography. This summer we shot this set of Nine5Four Canada Magazine but that's not where these images ended up. I'm excited to announce that I have a Karli Sal photo set published in VX2 Magazine. I didn't edit these shots, don't judge me. lol. I was so busy last summer the magazine farmed out the edits to get them done. It’s not up to my standards but I’m happy to have the photos published. You can check out some behind the scenes shots from the shoot here. It was an awesome shoot. Nothing like hanging out by the lake with some beautiful models and getting creative on a hot summer day. Click here to see photos form this set that I actually edited.

Inside Fitness Hot & Fit Issue

I was browsing through a pile of old magazines sitting around the studio and found this gem. WBFF superstar Bree Lind in the Inside Fitness Magazine Hot & Fit 2012 issue. Pretty sweet. Never gets old seeing this stuff. This dates back to before I rebranded to Studio V Photography. Bree was a lot of fun to shoot. To bad she's from Calgary or I'd shoot her a lot more often.

Nine5Four Canada Magazine - Journey

I had the pleasure of working with Journey on a photo shoot for Nine5Four Canada Magazine. She did some modeling when she was younger than took some time away from it all. Now she's back and trying her hand at glamour modeling. Studio V Photography thinks this beautiful Native American model has a lot of potential. If she makes the right moves and builds up her experience she could create a name for herself. She's got the right look she just needs to put herself in a position to succeed. And of course it's always exciting when I see my images in a publication. So cheers to that! Another magazine feature for Studio V. I'm excited, looking forward to more.

Magazine Shoot BTS

Today we're off to the Marina again to shoot on the Poco Loco. We have Karlie a beautiful Latina bombshell, Felicity winner of Miss Teen Ontario and Paul the editor in Chief of Nine5Four Canada Magazine. The day started out nice and foggy and I was looking forward to doing something creative in the thick fog but I knew by the time makeup and wardrobe wraps up the fog will be gone. But whatever the weather i'll make it work.

Here is a little teaser shot of Karlie sitting on the stern of the Poco Loco. She had some killer curves. You guys will love the magazine feature when it comes out. Got some amazing shots of Felicity as well. What an awesome day out in the sun shooting. Can't wait to get these pictures published. You can find more behind the scenes pictures up on my instagram feed. Look up @Studiov14

Selfie Shots with Laura Christine Clark

So we were wrapping up our laugh-a-thon, i mean photo shoot. Always a good time when Studio V Photography and Laura Christine Clark get together. I had a simple concept I wanted to shoot with Laura. Black pantyhose and bra on a hardwood floor. I wanted to pop the texture of the floor and contrast that with the smoothness of her skin and finish the image off with a blueish tone. Something beautiful sexy and slightly abstract with the finishing touches. I've really been pushing myself to try doing things a little differently. It never hurts to experiment. I'm liking the results but I know I can do better. The lighting is too straight on. I want to create more of a light to dark gradient across the body next time. Some areas of the wood came out too dark so I want to revisit the workflow and I know the pose can be improved. So i'm going to call this one a work in progress.

Studio V Photography Laura Christine Clark Sexy Model

After I got a few shots of Laura on the floor I gave her the camera and a mirror so she could shoot some shots of herself. The idea just came to me out of the blue and I wanted to follow it through because I was curious to see what it would lead too. I pulled out my phone and shot this video of her shooting herself. I wanted some content for Studio V TV. My YouTube channel.

Conclusion: The camera is better utilized in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. lol. Although Laura did have some beautiful unfocused shots. I pretty much always have my camera set to centerpoint focus and I find it hard to explain to people that you can depress the shutter button half way to hold focus and recompose the image. It's a little more complicated than point and shoot.
