Studio V Photography. Glamour portrait of Playboy cover model Rachelle Wilde. I love shooting Rachelle. She's so much fun and always high energy. Just a totally awesome person to hang out with, the fact that I get to shoot her too is just a bonus. There are more shots of Rachelle in my portfolio go check her out.

Natural Light Portrait of Sarah Scotford

I found this quote got me in the right spot today. "Our brains are wired to find things we’re looking for – if you’re always cynical or waiting for things to go wrong, then your life will reflect that. On the other hand, having a positive outlook on life will bring you joy and provide you with inspiration when you least expect it"

Studio V Photography. I shot this several months ago with the gorgeous Sarah Scotford. She's easily in my top 10 favourite models of all time, ever, in the whole universe. lol. She's such an awesome person and I owe so much to her. She kinda, maybe, sorta' helped me launch my photography brand back in the day. But that's a story for another blog. For this shot Sarah and I were experimenting with natural window light portraits. I've been a studio strobe guy for years but over the past eighteen months or so I've been shifting gears and experimenting with natural light photos. Shooting with natural light has opened up so many more creative possibilities. I'm super stoked to get more experience shooting with just natural light. Having a hot friend that you can call in for a shoot when you get the itch to experiment with lighting is definitely a bonus. I'm really happy with how my natural light stuff is progressing. Cheers to beating that learning curve.

On another note I'm excited to announce that the Bank Robber photo set with Sarah has been picked up by VX2 Magazine and will be published sometime in the next few months. And for those of you who have seen all the photos in the Bank Robber set don't worry, I pulled out the archives and edited a bunch of new photos. Plus all the images have been re-edited in a more modern editing style to make the photos artistically and creatively relevant again. I'm super excited to see them in print.

Oh and May the 4th be with you!!!!! hahaha. ;P

Sarah Ve Glamshion

This is a set I shot of the beautiful and multi talented Sara Ve. She is not only a fantastic model but also a makeup artist and a jewellery designer. I met her on set shooting the cover for the inaugural issue of Nine5Four Canada Magazine. We had a bit of a click and talked about doing a creative together someday. That day came and went and we shot some really cool stuff. After spending most of the summer shooting magazine style glam content it was nice to get outside that box and do something different. We started shooting around 5pm and kept on going till 2am. I'll post more sets on the blog as I edit them. For now enjoy these.

In Home Shoot - Casting Call

Here is one of my favourite sets ever. My friend Aleksandra called me about doing a shoot. She suggested we shoot at her apartment. I figured what the heck, let's give it a go and knock knock I was at her door with my gear. I have to admit It was an enjoyable experience shooing a model in her own environment. All the connections and emotions that came out only led to more depth in the photos. We shot a few different looks and this was my favourite. I like chaos and disorder because it creates an interesting visual dynamic. So I asked Aleksandra to toss clothes on the floor and make it look messy. After that I asked her to hop into her closet and we got to it. The result was a set that I totally loved.

I was thinking the other day I would like to do some more sets like this. I shot Playboy model Rachelle Wilde in her apartment not to long ago and it was awesome too. So this is a casting call. If you're a model and want to do a shoot and get creative in your home send me a message via my contact page or via facebook and let's talk. I want to shoot more photos with a raw edgy visual impact. No lingerie or any of that overdone boring glam wardrobe. I want something fashion with lots sex appeal.  Lots of emotion.
