First Shoot with the Canon EOS R

Studio V Photography: Hey guys welcome to the vlog. Here are the photos of Rock N’ Roll babe Molly Rennick in her Gold Bikini. We shot these in the the Dominican Republic on the VX2TV Beach Party trip. It was an awesome trip had an awesome time you can check out more video from the trip on the VX2TV YouTube channel.

These shots are from my very first photo shoot with the Canon EOS R. I had pre-ordered the camera and it arrived two days before I took off for the Dominican Republic. I brought it down with me fingers crossed and decided to test it out with Molly. I shot these with no poloraizer or ND filter. I wanted to see how the camera handled the high contrast of the sunset behind the model with no help. Also these images were shot in full rez jpg and edited in Photoshop. Overall I have to say i’m pretty happy with the results considering it was just jpg. Stay tuned more hot photo shoots from the VX2TV Beach party coming soon.

My review video of the Canon EOS R after one week of shooting with the camera.

Boobafettish Shoot Vlog

Ya so this happened. Studio V Photography, @studiov14 on instagram in case you're wondering, got to work with Boobafettish. Wooohoooo!!! If you know her you've already guessed it. The shoot was totally fun and out of control and full of laughs and just amazing. I love working with these wild girls. They have a great energy about them and I seem to get charged up on it. After an hour of shooting the breeze and eating doughnuts we finally got down to shooting. The shots came out amazing I'm really happy with them. Hopefully we get to shoot again soon. Below are a few of the shots form the shoot.

May the 4th be with you!

Give me a follow on instagram @studiov14 to see some behind the scenes stores.

Some teaser shots from the shot.

That Look She Gives You

Studio V Photography, so I ordered a pizza midway through the shoot because we got hungry. We were down to that last slice, that awkward last slice that everyone wants but nobody reaches for. That's when she looked at me and said "you can have the last slice" but her eyes said something totally different. hahahahaha. Love these little moments in life.

VX2 Magazine Shoot

Here is a little behind the scenes vlog of myself, Studio V Photography, shooting some content for VX2 Magazine. It was an awesome shoot. I finally got to work with Amber Emery. She's awesome. I can't wait to work with her again. Emily was also a blast to shoot. Overall I'm really happy with how the shoot went. We got some great content for the magazine. Can't wait to see these photos in print. Enjoy the video.
Cheers.

A Fun Day at The Studio

Who says photo shoots have to be serious. I much prefer having fun and letting the creativity flow when I'm shooing. So Ashley Marie was coming up to Toronto and booked a shoot with your truly. Yup when that Studio V Photography inbox dinged with an email from Ashley I was totally excited. I had worked with her back in 2010 in the Dominican Republic and we had a blast so the idea of working with her again really got me excited. Blow is a link to the Vlog from our shoot. Makeup by Monica Kalra

Enjoy.

Karliecakes Loves Tacos

Studio V Photography. So I was at the studio editing photos doing my thing when I get a text from Karlie Vanessa Sal. Apparently, driven by a desire for Grand Electric Tacos, she drove to my studio instead of where she was supposed to go. hahaha. oops. So we might as well make the best of it and go get some Grand Electric Tacos!!!!!!!! By the way if you didn't already know the Grand Electric Taco might just be the best in Toronto. The fish taco for me is the best there is. If you're in the Queen West area go give them a try. You might have to wait in line but it's worth it.

Enjoy.

Editing Photos of Asha for Magazine Submission

Studio V Photography Toronto Glamour Photographer
Last summer I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Asha Urielle. If you guys were following my SnapChat at the time you'd remember the story for sure. It was a fun day of shooting and I think I got a little punch-drunk off the sun. We shot at a beach just outside of Toronto. The day started off nice and foggy which opened up some creative possibilities that had me pretty excited. But it wasn't long before the sun came out and I had to rethink my game plan. The angle of the sun plays such a huge role in determining how and where you're going to pose the model. Overall it was a great experience. Good times all around for everyone involved. The images will be featured in an upcoming issue of VX2 Magazine. So stay tuned for that. Watch the vlogs below and give them a thumbs up. It really helps to get those thumbs on those videos. Thanks.

Shooting Alison

I recently had the pleasure of working with Alison Galbraith while she was in town for a fitness competition. It was her last day in Toronto and she had to be at the airport by noon so needless to say we had to be super efficient with our time. But when the pressure is on the shoots are always more fun. I seem to enjoy that get-it-done pressure. We got some fantastic shots which will be submitted for publication. Can't wait to see where they go. Enjoy the vlog.

Here is the teaser shot from the shoot. I'll post the rest of the shots from the shoot up on the blog and vlog once they get published. In the end I decided to leave the photo with the face in the bottom left. I'm really liking the mood and emotion of the shot.

Megan Klassen and the G7X

Studio V Photography. So I just picked up a Canon G7X Mark II the other day and I wanted to test it out. I've really gotten excited about the idea of vlogging so that I can share all the fun moments that happen at my photo shoots. I really have no idea what I'm doing at this point with respect to creating vloggs but just as I did with photography, I figure the best thing to do is jump in with both feet, make my mistakes and learn as I go. The fear of failing holds us back so much. I figure failing is part of the learning experience and the experience is what it's all about. . . . So anyway. . . I wanted to test out the new video camera and called Megan Klassen in for a shoot. I met her the year before at an even for Arsenic Magazine and wanted to work with her so that's what I did.

We had a good click right from the get-go and the shoot was a fun experience. It was a little different for me to think in terms of creating photo content then at the same time think about creating video content as well. It was a bit of a challenge but I'm sure I'll get better at it as I do it more often.

Below I have two vlogs. The first one is a behind the scenes vlog from my shoot with Megan and the second vlog is me doing a time laps edits with Megan's photos.

Enjoy and please subscribe to the youtube channel.

Memories of Summer

Memories of last summer. Hanging out with Dani and Annie at a cottage by the lake shooting content for VX2 Magazine. What a beautiful day on the lake. I'm missing the summer months. The good news is that that summer is on it's way. In a month or less it will be warm enough to get outside and have some fun. I can't wait. I have so many ideas lined up I just want to get out there now and start shooting.

Sarah Ve Teaser

Here is a tease shot form a set I shot with the beautiful Sarah Ve. Last summer I met her on set and it wasn't long till we clicked on a creative level. We both seem to have that desire to experiment outside the box. Experimenting with lighting and different styles of shooting has always been one of my favourite things to do. It's so refreshing to find someone who likes the same things. I'm working on the edits from this shoot now. Can't wait to get them done and see what they lead to.

Magazine Shoot BTS

Today we're off to the Marina again to shoot on the Poco Loco. We have Karlie a beautiful Latina bombshell, Felicity winner of Miss Teen Ontario and Paul the editor in Chief of Nine5Four Canada Magazine. The day started out nice and foggy and I was looking forward to doing something creative in the thick fog but I knew by the time makeup and wardrobe wraps up the fog will be gone. But whatever the weather i'll make it work.

Here is a little teaser shot of Karlie sitting on the stern of the Poco Loco. She had some killer curves. You guys will love the magazine feature when it comes out. Got some amazing shots of Felicity as well. What an awesome day out in the sun shooting. Can't wait to get these pictures published. You can find more behind the scenes pictures up on my instagram feed. Look up @Studiov14

Selfie Shots with Laura Christine Clark

So we were wrapping up our laugh-a-thon, i mean photo shoot. Always a good time when Studio V Photography and Laura Christine Clark get together. I had a simple concept I wanted to shoot with Laura. Black pantyhose and bra on a hardwood floor. I wanted to pop the texture of the floor and contrast that with the smoothness of her skin and finish the image off with a blueish tone. Something beautiful sexy and slightly abstract with the finishing touches. I've really been pushing myself to try doing things a little differently. It never hurts to experiment. I'm liking the results but I know I can do better. The lighting is too straight on. I want to create more of a light to dark gradient across the body next time. Some areas of the wood came out too dark so I want to revisit the workflow and I know the pose can be improved. So i'm going to call this one a work in progress.

Studio V Photography Laura Christine Clark Sexy Model

After I got a few shots of Laura on the floor I gave her the camera and a mirror so she could shoot some shots of herself. The idea just came to me out of the blue and I wanted to follow it through because I was curious to see what it would lead too. I pulled out my phone and shot this video of her shooting herself. I wanted some content for Studio V TV. My YouTube channel.

Conclusion: The camera is better utilized in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. lol. Although Laura did have some beautiful unfocused shots. I pretty much always have my camera set to centerpoint focus and I find it hard to explain to people that you can depress the shutter button half way to hold focus and recompose the image. It's a little more complicated than point and shoot.

Laura Christine Clark

I had the pleasure of working with the beautiful Laura Christine Clark. Playboy Cyber Girl, home town model and totally awesome chick. We had a blast shooting together for the first time in 3 years. But we picked things up right where we left off way back when. I'll write a better blog post about the shoot later for now enjoy these behind the scenes videos. This is the first video of a series I'm going to do called "Another Day In Paradise" which will be a little bit of a behind the scenes mixed with a day-in-the-life type stuff.

So half way though our photo shoot we decided to go grab a bite at Glory Hole Doughnuts. Laura had never tried them before so I figured it would be fun experience for her. Gotta love that name. We started giggling before we even got there. hahahaha. Glory Hole Doughnut!!!! They are seriously delicious if you get the change to try them go for it.

Behind The Scenes With Nine5Four Canada Magazine

A little behind the scenes action. On set with Studio V Photography as we shoot Marianne D'Vaz, Megan Powell and Anna for an editorial feature for Nine5Four Canada Magazine. These three beauties were a fun buzz all day.

This is the shoot that almost didn't happen. The magazine editor lined up a beautiful vintage yacht for the shoot. I saw pictures of it before hand and it looked amazing. However when we got to the marina it was gone. Apparently the owner of the yacht decided to takeoff for the day and leave us stranded. Lucky for us the models were attracting all kinds of attention at the marina and it wasn't long before we found another yacht to shoot on. So in the end everything worked out perfectly and we made a great contact at the marina. Always keep a positive mindset and good things happen. That's the trick.  Swimsuits by Venao Swimwear. Makeup by Sarah Ve. I'll post more pictures from this shoot when they get published.
